MUKC Newsletter (Apr/2026)
Updates from Martial Arts Camp 2026 and next social event!
Martial Arts Camp 2026
Thank you to everyone who attended our Camp event in 2026, jointly with Taekwondo (and Wushu)! Although there were a few accidents (e.g., smashing the wall with heels), we hope most of the memories you made during the camp were unforgettable!
This year, we introduced a couple of new things:
RICE FOOD: We decided to have more rice food this year! A lot of people said their top preferences were Japanese Curry (+ kimchi) and Fried Rice (noodle)! Shout-out to Emeil, Sean, Molly, and Aristo for going grocery shopping.
New camp location: It was lovely to see a new campsite at the Clifford Park Activity Centre! It was convenient from the city (40 minutes) and full of nice facilities, nature, and people. Thanks, Warden, for having us.
New instructors: Henry, Ibuki, Kevin (from Rhee) and Lilly (from Wushu) generously took the class for us during the camp. Thank you, each of you, for having such a fun and (sometimes) intensive training!

For those who missed the camp, don’t worry! We’re planning to have the Camp Recap event this year in a few months. So keep your eyes on this newsletter and our WhatsApp/Messenger group.
May Social Event!
Camp Recap Event:
Rhee Taekwondo and MUKC will host the Camp Recap Event, where we review some funny and must-watch videos to share memories from last month's camp. There’ll be food, board games, and (most importantly) many like-minded people! EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN!
Date: 2/May, 2:00-5:00 pm
Venue: Market Hall (Building 189)
Our next event will be G-Karting at Le Mans Entertainment!
Date: TBC (likely to be weekends in mid-May)
Action: Please answer a poll that Sean will post on our FB/WhatsApp Group Chat soon.
This Month’s Karate Journey
Starting next month, Sam and a few other committee members will interview people in our club about their Karate Journey and post the materials on the website and this newsletter…Stay tuned!
